Trek Log: 001 - Prologue

This is the first official "Trek Log", recorded by your trusty "narrator" Lt. Higgins. My shift just ended, and believe me, ten hours overhauling and installing Power Regulators is a real pain in the butt. But I digress. So where should I begin? Times are certainly interesting in Starfleet right now, I can tell you that. With the discovery of this new wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant near one of our Deep Space stations, "9" I think, everybody's excitement has quickly become sobering watchfulness. It seems their is another power on the other side called the "Dominion", and they don't appear to be too friendly. While this discovery is totally amazing (the first stable wormhole? ( That flies in the face of all my professors back at the Academy!) , even Starfleet Command's usual brazenness for the unknown has been a bit tempered. Personal Log : - Introduction to "Adventure"

And so it Begins... As a recommendation via the ships counselor, and as a new avenue of exploration for my particular therapy, I have been advised to keep a personal log of my life, my fellow officers, and the goings on aboard my ship. Why this should help, I have absolutely no idea.  I have never been one to keep journals, even as a kid, but in an effort to satisfy the powers that be, i'll give it a shot. Considering my stress levels have been creeping up on me in recent weeks, I guess i'm down to try any new treatment if it helps. The weird thing is, she wants me to record my life as if i'm the narrator of a story that is being written. Like I have the power to control it...  She explained that this might help empower me to deal with my own personal issues, and by writing my life like an episode of some crappy holo program, I could better manage my own life.
